PUBLIC HABITAT 2023
The theater season It's time it's time lasts from March to June 2023 and is composed of a plurality of performative proposals, training and teaching, which open the post-industrial spaces of Lenz Teatro to public use and continue the dialogue with other cultural realities and monumental places in the city.
In addition to the project creations Holy Scriptures, The creation (special project commissioned by the MAECI Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation), Numbers, Apocalypse – new production 2023 – The performative actions will be different and multi-sign, installative, artistic, musical, visuals, training courses that will inform the annual project.
Many dramaturgy investigated - backbones of the three-year period – the shows restarting, the reissues site-specific, and laboratory results: the diptych on the sacrifice of the innocents Iphigenia in Aulis e Iphigenia in Tauride; the Shakespearean echoes of Hamlet Solo, the mystical compositions of Adelchi and the narrative of the origins with The Soldiers by Jakob Lenz.
As usual in recent years also in 2023 the foundation will dedicate a Special Contemporary Reading Project: In the 2021 it was Dante, In the 2022 Pasolini on the centenary of his birth, while this year on the occasion of the celebrations for the sesquicentennial of his death, Lenz will realize in site-specific a project dedicated to the work of Alessandro Manzoni, author already explored in the two-year period 2013-2014.
The permanent project on Resistence with the second phase of the three-year dramaturgical period dedicated to the partisan women of Parma entitled Piccine_Day of Wrath.
Always for Public Habitat 2023 the project takes shape Landscape Morphologies – Performative rehydrations of the urban present – to enhance the University of Parma Museums with meetings, laboratories, seminars, performances and video installations site-specific in the Museum of Paleontology, Workshop Museum, Botanical Garden, Hall of Philosophers.
The intense live programming will be accompanied by a busy calendar of streaming events, dialogues with the public, seminars and workshops.
