EFFORT | ALL WOMEN

Natura Dèi Teatri is a project of performing creations and a place of intellectual reflection on the state of contemporary art. Born in 1996, it is conceived and curated by Maria Federica Maestri and Francesco Pititto, artistic directors of Lenz Fondazione.

The attention to contemporary languages, the interdisciplinary nature of the events presented, the strong roots in the territory together with a deep vocation for international performance culture are historical characteristics of Natura Dèi Teatri.

The physical, conceptual and expressive space in which Lenz’s creations are realized is hybridized by aesthetic experiences among the most innovative and rigorous in the field of European performance, musical and visual production.

Tenero, Liscio/Striato, Sforzo are the conceptual themes of the four-year period 2018-2021 of ND’T, inspired by the reading of the philosophical work of Jean-Luc Nancy.

In 2021, the twenty-fifth edition of the Festival focuses on the scenic, visual, musical, and choreographic elaboration of the concept of Effort. It is totally interpreted by the performance works of women artists of different generations and backgrounds and by the reflections of curators and scholars of the contemporary scene: “A very clear political and cultural message” adds Maria Federica Maestri “that wants to highlight the expressive power and the aesthetic density of women in the contemporary artistic scene”.
