Re Lear

In co-production with the “Natura Dèi Teatri” festival, a dramaturgical, musical and visual research on “Re Lear” (King Lear), the ‘missing’ work by Giuseppe Verdi, comes to life through the important artistic collaboration between electronic musician Robin Rimbaud and Lenz Rifrazioni. Presented as a foreword in the 19th edition of “Natura Dèi Teatri”, the completed project will be presented in the context of the Verdi Festival 2015.
The project traces a journey of research and reconstruction of all the elements of Verdi’s scattered and unfinished creative desire to proceed then, to an “invention” – inventiōnem, finding through examination – of a performance and musical simulacrum work of art which draws the essential elements of its manifestation, to its representation from Shakespeare’s and Verdi’s Lear.
