HYBRIDIZE by Giulia Odetto is the last action of the project RELATIVES | BESTIARY | Female Animal [+], that between 2022 and the 2024 he brought 12 artists and artistic collectives at Lenz Teatro to think about the possibility of coexistence in the contemporary, between affinities and divergences, in the wake of Donna Haraway's thoughts.
How they will be, if they will be, our bodies in the future?
Giulia Odetto, actress and director who studies the interaction between performances within the EFFE Collective, sounds, video e design, will lead a study on the hybridization of the body, in an attempt to overcome the natural-artificial dualism, to redefine the boundaries of the human body, contemplating new and broader ones. How they will be, if they will be, our bodies in the future? What if king- we imagine the body to discover it other than what it was? In a process of approach and discovery, In HYBRIDING, participants will explore the possibilities of symbiosis and creative collaboration of their own body with other elements. The laboratory will include the possibility of experimenting with different functions, from the performative one, to the dramaturgical one, working on finding sources.
For the Parentela a Lenz Foundation project he leads a workshop focusing on the hybridization process of one's own body, performatively investigating that shift in the perception of the human body to become, be something else.
Hybridize questions the concept of the body and explores the possibilities of symbiosis and creative collaboration with something else, to strive towards. What happens if we think again, let's re-imagine, the body to discover it other than what it was, in a process of approach and discovery.
