AENEIS #1 THE RACE OF THE WILD BOAR
Yes The wild boar race, first episode of Aeneas, the fundamental relationships that give rise to the stage structure are diagnosed. Four complex generative constraints – Father/daughter, Daughter/lover, Mother/son, Lover/loved – the regressions/obsessions hidden in the folds of their respective functions. The origin of the descent imprints the brand of destiny prefigured by the superni. Apparently daily relationships move destinies and lives with large repercussions, The encounter between human and divine always produces epochal changes, sudden waste of the course of history.
In this great performative project, Lenz's visions merged with the sounds of four musicians of the international electronic scene: Lillevan, Paul Wirkus, The Ovo and Andrea Azzali-Monophon, engaged in the live performances of the individual episodes.
The first six paintings are designed in the perimeter space of the Ara Pacis, Celebratory and propaganda monument erected in Rome in the Marzio camp to glorify the Augustan victories and in the years of fascism the place of the gymnastic exercises of Roman youth. The walls of the scenic fence are "decorated" by the visual friezes of the film sequences in a substantial formal loyalty to the narrative system of the monument.
Old sacrifices are consumed on the canteen of the contemporary ceremony and new gods are honored: the cruelty of a pater demented, The horror of maternal love, The torment of old age, the grotesque brutality of the family, The horror of the bodies in erotic constriction, Violence on dying animals, neuroleptic transit in the afterlife, they materialize in a skeletal epolet without consolation.
