A sangue freddo

The performance A sangue freddo has been conceived taking as a starting point a series of images created for a photography project by Silvia Costa and Silvia Boschiero, as a sort of temporal appendix in which the body portrayed in the photographs becomes the subject of study in a process of disintegration of the different layers. From black and white we move to colours, from bi-dimensional surfaces we proceed to all-round shapes. As in a dissecting room, the audience is invited to observe the human body in its parts and its morphology. The spectators’ gaze is like a sharp and pitiless scalpel, which dissects, cuts through and sunvert the cohesion between inside and outside, surface and volume, mass and shape. The body is alive, but begs to return to an inorganic state.
