Founded on 13 November 2014 by the Lenz Rifrazioni e Natura Dèi Teatri Cultural Associations, it collects its historical legacy (1986 for Lenz and 1996 for Natura) continuing, without interruption, and with identical rigor the action of artistic research, creation, training, international hospitality in the field of performing arts and sensitivity, but with broader artistic, cultural and scientific planning.
Maria Federica Maestri

Francesco Pititto
Dramaturg and visual artist. In 1977 he translated, with Giuseppe Ferrari, Il cinema according to Hitchcock by Truffaut-Pratiche Editrice, a cult of film publishing. In 1982 he created cultural programs for Rai3. In 1986 he founded Lenz Rifrazioni in Parma, with Maria Federica Maestri, a rigorous and innovative research theater highlighted by the critic Giuseppe Bartolucci, and Lenz Fondazione since 2015.
In an aesthetic convergence between exegetical fidelity to the word of the text, visual radicality of filmic creation, originality and conceptual extremism of the artistic installation, Lenz's work rewrites philosophical tensions and aesthetic anxieties of contemporaneity in visionary signs. Büchner, Hölderlin, Lenz, Kleist, Rilke, Dostoevsky, Mayakovsky, Shakespeare, Goethe, Grimm, Andersen, Calderón de la Barca, Genet, Lorca, Bacchini, Ovid, Virgil, Manzoni, d'Annunzio, Ariosto, Dante, Euripides, Aeschylus, the Holy Scriptures: these are the authors and works that have marked Lenz's monographic and multi-year projects.
Imagoturgy, imago in érgon. In Greek érgon is a word that comes close to the meaning of “work”, but at the same time has a narrower and broader meaning. Érgon indicates the work of the worker, of the athlete but it also indicates the operation in itself, the being in action, at work, of an inanimate or animate thing. Seeing is the ergon of the eyes, being loved and respected is the ergon of the human being. When our sensitive actors and actresses recreate a text, gestures, movements, relationships what is the ergon of the image? The eye of a camera refracts those in front of it, the dimension of the soul, of what the soul should be, the darkroom of vision and feeling, of memory, of dreams. The eye of the beholder within this eye carves the formless matter that cries out for redemption and liberation, slowly hammers the hard shell of the supposed disease, down to the center.
The collection of publications that delve into the monographic and multi-year research projects of the Lenz Foundation since 1992. In an aesthetic convergence between exegetical fidelity to the word of the text, visual radicality of filmic creation, originality and conceptual extremism of the artistic installation, the work of Lenz Fondazione rewrites contemporaneity in visionary signs philosophical tensions and aesthetic anxieties.
Supporting Lenz Foundation means creating value for the community, contributing to the life of a reality necessary for the territory, due to its vocation for research, contemporary language and critical thinking.
Since 2018, Lenz's artistic projects have been selected by the Ministry of Culture to participate in ART BONUS, a ‘call to the arts’ for the protection of cultural heritage, the development of culture and the relaunch of tourism. Art Bonus consists of a considerable tax credit for those who make liberal disbursements in favor of particularly deserving Italian goods, interventions or artistic-cultural activities.
Patrons who choose to make their donation public are published on the thank you to patrons page which can be consulted via the next button or on the https://artbonus.gov.it/i-mecenati.html page and will also appear in the individual intervention.
To give further visibility to the projects and their supporters, the Art Bonus Competition has been held on the artbonus platform for eight years. The vote is expressed by a spontaneous popular jury: all those who wish to support one or more competing projects can vote, all carried out thanks to monetary donations from companies, foundations and private citizens.
In the next tax return, we invite you to subscribe to the allocation of 5 per thousand under the item “Support of recognized foundations working in the area of culture and art”.
