BLACK FACTORY (Black Factory)
The Factory in Calderon’s rhetorical and poetic construction and Black that stains Juan de la Cruz’s mystical erotic paths into dark and into the darkness of cognitive ascent. The absolute nakedness of a female body hits with the powerful muscular strength of being human. In the disciplined geometry of movement, the ascetic tension of the word lays on the spatial field as an algebraic mechanics of what cannot be known: God’s mathematics.

In Black Factory (Fábrica Negra) the body wears only shadow, dressed only in that dark night that de la Cruz considers the place where the senses prevail, moved by desire, by the hunger to be in contact with the Devine.

A difficult, hermetic, vigorous, and rigorous scenic mediation, without frills, that imposes on the performer remarkable concentration and reveals her generosity. Sandra Soncini is a solid experienced dancer-actor and we can see that: the sequences of movements evolve in fits and difficult releases, demanding expertise, control, and abandonment.
