Production Lenz Fondazione
After the creation of Cassandra in 2025, Parentela's project continues with Lorenza Guerrini, associate artist of Lenz Fondazione for the three-year period 2025_2027.
Penthesilea_Amid My Dogs is a performative rewrite that adopts the canine sensory perspective, inspired by the thought of Donna Haraway, to deconstruct the anthropocentrism of the Penthesilea myth and investigate its ontological collapse.
Through the dog's gaze, the tragic love for Achilles is revealed as a toxic and destructive solipsism. The animal acts as an ethical and vigilant witness to the catastrophe, inhabiting the contact zone where the boundary between human and ferino dissolves. The performative creation project thus proposes a radical reflection on the liminality of language and desire, offering a "criticism of teeth" to the claims of domination of the human heart.
